My Religion

when it was time for me to leave my university after the completion of my masters program, I was desperate in look out for a 2bhk. It was the pressing need of time as we(me and my fiancee then, husband now) needed a place to shift post our marriage, which was soon after my post grad. After having looked for a few places in Begumpet, Jubilee Hills we finally found a decent place worth the rent in Khairatabad just a stone throw away from Banjara Hills road no.1. On meeting the owners they seemed happy to find the tenants for their 3 months abandoned house. A young member from their family helped us in showing the house. He took pride to take us around and show us the house, with 24 hours water supply being one of the major features. Upon being introduced to the owners by the broker, who got us this house, a old man probably in his 70's asked us about what we do and where we are from and most importantly our 'Religion'. He just wanted to check if we were Muslims. We finalised our deal for the house. After having stayed at this place for 2 years, we shifted to a bigger but 2bhk again, couple of months back. We came in saw the house, liked it and finalised it. When we met the owners the same series of questions for introduction but we weren't asked about our religion this time. My onwers are not Hindus, but they dont see any possible threats in their prospective tenants. Now when we read the papers and find that a Muslim is denied shelter in a particular locality because of his religion amuses me to the hilt!!!

  1. true, all hindus are not secular, so also all muslims, the general perception is ,Most muslims are terrorists, therefore, muslims wont find difficulty in accepting a Hindu, but,the reverse is due to ATANKA_terror

Thanks for this message, its eyeopener to many_Dpmisra

  2. Hmmm...very difficult to write anythn on it...now-a-days wen we say tht muslims are terrorists...people retaliate by sayin destruction of lives by naxalities are not due to muslims....but thr's a thn here even....terrorism is mass destruction n tht too in busy cities...whereas naxalism is in remote areas...so it's a fact here tht people in cities take the minimal precaution by taking the help of religion....
